It’s hard, really, to write a review for a book of stitch patterns. This one, the latest in Interweave Press’s series, covers Colorwork–patterns that use two or more colors to make a design for your knitting.
Some of the patterns are very basic–I don’t know that I really needed a book to spell out how to knit a narrow stripe as opposed to a wide stripe–but there are some lovely stitches in here.
Many are multi-colored, which is a little more complex than I personally prefer, but that doesn’t make them any less attractive to look at.
The pictures are clear–in fact, the pictures are so good, you almost don’t need the color chart to be able to knit the stitches. The picture alone is just about enough.
Really, what else do you need to know? Nice patterns and a useful collection.
