The In-Depth Look:

These aren’t exactly new yarns. You may have used them many times before, so that you already know how good they are. Soft. Squishy. Reasonably priced.

So … what else is there to say?

They’re expanding the color options. Just like the changes they made to their lace yarns last year, they’re adding tonal yarns–variegated yarns that fall into the “almost-solid” family. They vary, they have shadings and subtleties. It’s not the kind of variegation that’s going to knit up with crazy pooling. It’s the kind that’s just going to make things a little more interesting.

The colors in the samples they sent me are just beautiful. I like three-dimensional color to my yarn. As much as I like solid colors, I enjoy knitting with yarn that changes. It keeps things interesting and adds extra depth to the finished product which just makes it feel that much more unique, and these colors? Judging by the samples, they will be a pleasure to work with.

This skein was kindly donated by KnitPicks. Thank you!

My Gush: Lovely new colors.
