Best of Knit It

The In-Depth Look:

This book brings together over a hundred patterns from Better Homes & Gardens’ Knit It magazine.

They write, “Readers will be hard-pressed to find such a robust pattern collection anywhere else. With 100+ much loved favorites, knitters of all skill levels will find patterns to make for themselves and loved ones. BEST OF KNIT IT is an exciting collection of the finest knitting patterns from the Editors at Knit It! This is also the first-ever offering of a Better Homes & Gardens knitwear collection.

Featuring both knit and crochet patterns, there are lots of designs to choose from, though most of them are aimed at women as either sweaters or accessories–not to mention home decor–with an assortment of patterns for kids and babies, too. (Patterns for men are left out altogether.)

There’s no question there’s a lot of variety–between the six categories and the two different crafts, there’s no shortage of things to try. Even in each category, there is plenty of variety to choose from. Perhaps too much, at times. There are a few patterns that made wonder what on earth they were thinking when they chose them, but most of the patterns are nice, useful styles that look fun to make and easy to use.

Check them out yourself! The book is available at Amazon.com.
